I have a friend, a Christian who is a U.S. citizen and has a very good job. He went to Pakistan for 3 years and a Muslim man I met through a mutual friend. I only knew for 3 weeks before they decided to get married. They married on a sheet of paper. He then returned to the United States, paper at the American Embassy in Pakistan presented by sponsoring her new husband, but it took 3 years and was finally analyzed by immigration officials on the legality of their marriage.
