Film of Oedipus the King, Bernard Knox translation? - knox translation
This is a remote possibility, since I've been online, but anyone know of a film adaptation of Sophocles 'Oedipus' Rex (Oedipus Rex), which uses the translation by Bernard Knox? I have a series of instructional tapes (Massachusetts Council for the Humanities in 1958 or 1959) that the use of extracts from Knox release, but no production.
Knox translation is more accessible, known and dynamic translation for regular use, followed by secondary students, in my opinion.

Unfortunately, it looks like you best, you can not have done with the translation of Knox. For better or worse than using the BBC Theban Plays "of the 1984 version, with translation by Don Taylor. Very accessible and familiar - perhaps too much, according to some critics, even if the game clearly, students, IMO. Unfortunately, only for the purchase at a terrible price by Films for the Humanities - perhaps a library) (in a college or university library near you have already done so. Anyway, good luck with your research ... Thank God, someone Sophocles teaching in school!
ADDENDUM in response to the response obtained immediately after: interesting that you are surprised that people still seek ancient Greek authors. I can not speak for everyone in the United States (whiere I found), of course, but for those who look, at least in the theater, classical Greek are essential. Given the current state of the world, including a handful of pieces (like the Persians of Aeschylus'Antigone by Sophocles, Euripides' Trojan Women "by The Lysistrata of Aristophanes") say more than others, what is written today ...

I admire the order and purpose of classical Greek and I am surprised to see that some people always on the lookout for progress of mankind!
They are only interested in works and translations into the English language?
